In this role, you will be a full-time NEC employee consulting with our clients.  The initial work will be conducted in Norh Carolina and you can be home based while not at the client site.

Summary of Role/Responsibilities for Tableau

  • Experience in Tableau administration performing Installation, upgrading, monitoring, debugging, tuning and capacity planning.
  • Proficient in Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server
  • End to end experience in designing and deploying reports / data visualizations using Tableau
  • Extensive knowledge in various reporting objects like Facts, Attributes, Hierarchies, Transformations, filters, prompts, Calculated fields, Sets, Groups, Parameters etc., in Tableau.
  • Understanding of various data aggregation techniques, analysis, blending, Tableau Charts, Graphs, complex calculations, table calculations, geographic mapping, extract optimization etc.
  • Knowledge of Data Warehousing and Data Modeling concepts, specifically designing and populating normalized data warehouses and star schema based data marts
  • Ability to work in team environment and client interfacing skills.
  • Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment

Skill sets required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server
  • Exposure to Big Data technologies will be an added advantage
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including active listening, asking appropriate questions, clarifying information and writing clear, concise documents

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement life cycle projects on all versions of Tableau stack
  • Review all functional business applications and specifications

Summary of Role/Responsibilities Cognos or BobJ

  • Experience in IBM Cognos/SAP Business Objects
  • Good knowledge in SQL, SQL Server, Oracle and DB2
  • Design, develop and modify IBM Cognos solutions in Cognos 10.x/11.x
  • Develops scalable reports using Business Objects (BOBJ)
  • Apply standards and best practices during development
  • Good FM Modeling/BO Universe Design Skills
  • Skill sets required:

  • IBM Cognos 10x/11x/SAP BO 4.x
  • Strong knowledge in SQL, SQL Server, Oracle and DB2
  • Exposure to Big Data technologies will be an added advantage
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including active listening, asking appropriate questions, clarifying information and writing clear, concise documents

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement, tests on all versions of IBM Cognos/SAP BO
  • Review all functional business applications and specifications
  • Tune and Fix Cognos/BO Reports and database queries for optimum performance
  • Good working knowledge on BO WebI and UDT and IDT 
  • Upgrade experience from 10.x to 11.x is desired
  • Create and maintain  documentation for every System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) phase
