Summary -

Responsible for creating and maintaining QA software for NEC Biometric products & solutions. This position requires a highly competent, results oriented, self-directed software testing professional focused on high-performing and highly-reliable software solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities -

__% Development of test plan specifications.

__% Responsible for the design, implementation, and execution of testing in accordance to test plan specifications.

__% Ensure that work meets or exceeds project performance, reliability, and quality goals.

__% Responsible for functional and performance testing as well as reporting test results.

__% Work closely with the engineering organization to ensure that products are testable and can be validated.

__% Provide guidance or solutions for maintenance issues prioritized by the customer support organization.

__% Mentor other test engineers and, where applicable, take the technical leadership role on specific projects.

__% Other duties related to the overall effectiveness of the Software Engineering organization including adherence to Engineering’s life cycle methodology, tools, and internal tracking systems.

Prerequisites -

Education:

Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent major or with equivalent working experience

Experience:

Minimum five years software test experience in testing multiple software products & solutions simultaneously with Java or MS.NET applications, and five years experience working with a structured software methodology and software test experience. Experience in designing, implementing, releasing, and after-market support of commercial & governmental software projects. Experience leading and coordinating a small team. Direct experience creating quality test plans and test automation of products that have been released into commercial & governmental environments.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills -

Language Skills:

Must be able to clearly and effectively communicate in English via email, teleconference, and in-person meetings.

Mathematical Skills:

College level mathematics and logic are necessary.

Reasoning Skills:

Must take initiative, be able to work independently, and  produce measurable results that positively impact the quality of the software products.

Computer and/or Technical Skills:

Demonstrate proficiency in one or more programming languages

Excellent knoweldge in script programming, database, operating systems, and networking required

Experience with Java or .Net applications required
