Job Description

In this role, you will be a full-time NEC employee consulting with our clients.  The initial work will be conducted in Baltimore and you can be home based while not at the client site.

MSBI

  • Responsible for overall technical design and implementation of Business Intelligence solutions including MSBI, Data Warehouse semantic model and other BI/DWH technology platforms and delivery strategies.
  • Ability to design, deliver and optimize MSBI BI tools including SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, Power BI.
  • Provide high-quality consulting services and deliverable to NEC IAG customers.
  • Assist the firm in growing through ensuring high customer satisfaction and identification/scoping of additional client projects.
  • Maintain technical skills at a level commensurate with a BI consultant in the industry, keeping abreast of new technologies and methods.
  • Design, develop and troubleshoot SSIS packages that implement complex ETL Processes
  • Full development cycle around real time integration with ETL and SQL Server
  • Experience in optimizing SSIS Package for performance and implement error-handling solution
  • 4-6 Years Experience with MSBI products, with experience as both a developer and architect.
  • Consulting experience in multiple client projects, with some exposure to Fortune 100 companies as a consultant desirable.
  • Experience with Data Integration techniques and technologies desirable.
  • Experience with multiple data warehouse platforms (e.g. Teradata, Oracle, DB2, etc.) desired.
  • Experience with Teradata highly preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree would be good to have, but not a must. Major in Computer Science or Engineering is preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in a Windows Server environments
  • At least 4-6 Years Experience with MSBI products, with experience as both a developer and architect
  • Experience in optimizing SSIS Package for performance and implement error-handling solution
  • Design, develop and troubleshoot SSIS packages that implement complex ETL Processes
  • Additional experience with Tableau is highly desirable
  • Experience in dealing with multiple projects and cross-functional teams, managing multiple tasks/assignments with staggered due dates and deadlines through effective time management skills.
  • Ability to identify and communicate issues/risks applying technical and root cause analysis skills is a must.
  • Must be a self-motivated and pro-active BI technical leader and possess a strong decision making, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work in challenging environment and come up with required solutions
  • Quick learner and self starter who requires minimal supervision to excel in a dynamic environment
  • Deep understanding of the software development process
  • Strong, effective and excellent Written and verbal communication skills
  • Can work as a team

Summary of Role/Responsibilities for Tableau\n\n

    \n
  • Experience in Tableau administration performing Installation, upgrading, monitoring, debugging, tuning and capacity planning.\n
  • Proficient in Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server\n
  • End to end experience in designing and deploying reports / data visualizations using Tableau\n
  • Extensive knowledge in various reporting objects like Facts, Attributes, Hierarchies, Transformations, filters, prompts, Calculated fields, Sets, Groups, Parameters etc., in Tableau.\n
  • Understanding of various data aggregation techniques, analysis, blending, Tableau Charts, Graphs, complex calculations, table calculations, geographic mapping, extract optimization etc.\n
  • Knowledge of Data Warehousing and Data Modeling concepts, specifically designing and populating normalized data warehouses and star schema based data marts\n
  • Ability to work in team environment and client interfacing skills.\n
  • Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment\n\n\n

    Skill sets required:\n\n

    • Bachelor\u2019s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution.\n
    • At least 2-3 years of experience Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server\n
    • Exposure to Big Data technologies will be an added advantage\n
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills including active listening, asking appropriate questions, clarifying information and writing clear, concise documents\n\n\n
