Summary:

NEC is seeking a skilled, highly motivated individual with a history of high performance and creativity to support the area of Talent Management, including onboarding, performance management, learning and organization development, and people and leadership development. The Learning and Talent Management Consultant will partner with the Sr. HR Manager – Talent Management, HRBPs, internal customers and leaders to drive learning and talent management programs and initiatives aligned with the strategic goals and vision of the organization.

The NEC Learning and Talent Management Consultant demonstrates a high level of competency and execution as a talent management professional.  The L&TM consultant has specialized depth and breadth of knowledge in identifying needs, designing, developing, implementing, managing and measuring effectiveness of targeted learning and TM solutions.

Using sound learning and organization development researched based methodologies, theories, systems, processes and best practices to achieve business objectives

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Learning & Development (50%)
    • Supports learning and development including planning, development, delivery, performance management, evaluation, and administration of education and learning programs targeting Individual Contributors and various levels of management.
    • Contributes to learning strategies including conceptual design, material development and implementation planning for all phases of projects including supporting communication plans, pilots, train-the-trainer events, resource management and post-deployment support.
    • Partners with HR management in the assessment and development of learning strategies and programs to support company business goals and objectives.
    • Analyzes data and creates tracking methods to ensure appropriate metrics are being met. Immediately identifies areas where process improvement and system enhancements are necessary to increase productivity and improve the overall performance.
    • Develops and implements a learning curriculum that is specific to our current workforce and supports the respective culture.
    • Provides input into the enhancement of a learning and talent development roadmap to develop the required capabilities.
    • Provides assessment of learning needs and gaps and develops tactics for corporate learning goals
    • Designs corporate training (e.g. business acumen and soft skills, etc.) curriculum that supports performance and career development. Ensures learning and development opportunities are aligned to and integrated with competency models and talent processes.
    • Leads efforts to expand learning methodologies and platforms, oversees vendors and ensures quality and effectiveness of training content and delivery, and collaborates with internal colleagues regarding training administration.
    • Creates and carries out a marketing and communications plan to create ongoing awareness among managers and employees, of our talent processes and learning solutions.
    • Drives internal collaboration, knowledge sharing and overall learning culture within the organization.
    • Leads and manages all learning management system initiatives.
    • Manages the annual compliance training initiative
  • Talent and Performance Management (40%)
    • Leads and manages the onboarding program. 
    • Supports with conceptual design, development and deployment of customized performance evaluation forms, development plans and the improvement of the performance management process
    • Leads the annual performance management cycle,  including performance reviews and goal setting
    • Leads/support implementation of new talent management initiatives
    • Contributes and implements tactics for Performance Plans, Individual Develop Plans (IDPs) and career development plans
    • Manages and measures the implemented activities
    • Supports internal customers in development planning, identification of appropriate learning solutions, and general coaching of employee development as requested
    • Supports development and implementation of competency models
  • Organization Development (10%)
    • Supports with design and implementation of organizational development initiatives throughout the organization.
    • Designs, develops and facilitates team interventions
    • Supports change management initiatives
    • Facilitates process improvement workflow sessions
    • Leads the employee engagement program; data analysis, provide insights with recommendations and solutions. 

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

  • Experience with administration of learning management systems (LMS), 3+ years preferred
  • Expertise in design/delivery of leadership, learning and talent management solutions
  • Experience in HR, talent management or performance management consultancy
  • Adult learning theories
  • Experience in using psychometric tools for individual and team effectiveness

Subject Matter Expert:

Learning content, technology integration, and common work processes to deliver quality products and services that meet the needs of internal clients.   Talent and performance management methodologies and best practices.

Systems Technical Capabilities: 

Proficiency as a super user role role/SME with Talent/Performance Management Systems and LMS, i.e., PeopleSoft, Success Factors, SABA, Workday and other major solutions,  Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)

Certifications, Tools & Instruments:  Proficiency with various tools and instruments, such as;

  • Individual development 360ᵒ, Hogan, CPI or other major instruments
  • Team Facilitation tools i.e., DiSC, MBTI, FIRO-B
  • Training certification, DDI or other major programs
  • Competency Models, Korn Ferry and other major vendors

Prerequisites:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Organization Development, Psychology, Human Resources or related field and a minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a corporate setting.

Master’s degree in Organization Development, Psychology, Human Resources or related field
