Position: Business Development Manager.

  • Summary:

    Responsible for leading Incubation Team collaboration efforts with internal, customer facing, business units, qualifying opportunities for new product development, securing customer opportunities for voice of the customer, prototype evaluation, field tetsing and proof of concepts. Responsible for supporting internal business unit sales efforts and ensuring continuous improvement of new products through ongoing customer feedback, as well as promoting & supporting the Incubation Teams new business creation process across all business units. 

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    - Promote the Incubation team’s new business creation process and collaborate with NEC business units on market research, opportunity analysis, channel development, lead generation & qualification. 

    - Market research for prospected markets (trends, customers, technical/service venders etc.) to identify one to many new product development opportunities

    - Formulate GTM strategy/Collaboration strategy, Define Value Proposition utilizing NEC products (SPBU products) for NEC-J Sales Revenue Maximization 

    - Discover and qualify customer pain, clarify customer pain chain, propose solution to customers and negotiate field test / try & buy opportunities in collaborate with NEC BUs, channel & technology partners 

    - Develop expert knowledge of NECs Incubation Process for one to many Solution Selling

    - Promote, educate and collaborate with NEC BUs and Channel Partners to ensure Incubation Process adoption  


    Education: Bachelor's Degree required; MBA preferred

    Experience: 6-8 years of previous field sales experience (small to medium size businesses).  A proven track record of achieving and exceeding goals in a sales organization. Strong business acumen. Entrepreneurial drive and creative thinking.

    Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

    Language Skills: English- Spoken and Written

    Reasoning Skills: Analytic problem solving skills, with an ability both to see the big picture and delve into details.

    Excellent organization & planning skills.

    Computer and/or Technical Skills: Good positioning knowledge analytics, cloud computing and IoT. Broad vertical experience. 

    Travel: Willingness to travel to meet client for their satisfactions.
